Made the 2006 U.S. Olympic team together with his fraternal twin, Eric, and competed in one event ... Moved with his family to Park City when he was six, and started ski jumping as soon as he saw the jumping venue ... Joined three long-time U.S. Nordic combined team members for a summer training camp of jumping, skiing and cycling in France in 2009.

As the pilot for the USA-1 bobsled, I broke a 62-year gold medal drought when my sled, the 'Night Train" won the Olympic title at the 2010 Vancouver Games. A degenerative eye condition nearly caused me to quit my sport in 2008, but corrective surgery restored my vision to 20-20.
