Getting to know: Graham Watanabe

Four years ago, Graham Watanabe went to Torino as an assistant wax technician after failing to qualify, but ended up competing after an injury to a teammate... The diminutive Idaho native (listed at 5-foot-6) made a goodwill visit to Afghanistan in the summer of 2009, and makes his second Olympic appearance in Vancouver.

    Who am I?

As the pilot for the USA-1 bobsled, I broke a 62-year gold medal drought when my sled, the 'Night Train" won the Olympic title at the 2010 Vancouver Games. A degenerative eye condition nearly caused me to quit my sport in 2008, but corrective surgery restored my vision to 20-20.
